Hundreds of thousands of women are marching through the streets of Washington D.C. and across the country and even worldwide – but is their message united? The organizers of the Women’s March has refined its mission and some say it is exclusionary, supporting one class of women over another.
As a former journalist with more than ten years of experience in broadcast news reporting for mainstream media, I wanted to find out – is this true? Or just another mainstream narrative the media is pushing down our throats? I interviewed the Founder of New Wave Feminists, the pro-life non-profit organization that was removed as a sponsoring partner of the Women’s March. Despite this, the Founder Destiny Herndon-De La Rosa and supporters of her group are still marching alongside pro-choice women and other groups rallying in Washington D.C.
She says despite our differences, women have more in common than we think.
